How much waiting do you feel you do in a day, in a week, in a year…in your life? Some of how much time you feel you can wait has to do with your feeling about waiting.
Some of us have more ability to wait. Some of us know that there are things that take longer than others. Some of us even though we know things should be taking LESS time, STILL have the ability to wait when they take LONGER…now that’s a power. Not too many of us can do that! It’s been posted in an AP poll that we start to get antsy after 5 minutes holding on the phone and we refuse to stay on more than 15 minutes; 23% of us lose our patience if we have to wait in line at a store or office 5 minutes or less; 50% refuse to return to a business that makes us wait too long. Despite the fact that we feel this way about patience, there’s a percentage of us that know that WAITING can be POWERFUL. That smaller group of people is knowledgeable and successful. Those people have inspired the following quotes. Read these quotes. Remember them and think of them when you feel your attention starting to wane.
Here they are:
“All good things come to those that wait”
“Patience is a virtue”
“Patience is bitter, but its fruit is sweet”
“It might take a year, it might take a day, but what’s meant to be will always find its way”
“No great thing is suddenly created”
“You can’t rush something you want forever”
“Patience is the ability to count down before you blast off”
“Storms don’t last forever”
“One moment of patience may ward of great disaster. One moment of impatience may ruin a whole life”
“Patience and persistence are the providers of progress”
